Came here because I was desperate for some good Dresden fic and willing to put up with ponies if the crossover came recommended. Good content doesn't bubble up to the top like it does on fimfiction.ĭo you know any other fanfiction-sites that come anywhere close to fimfiction's functionality and ability to quickly find the most recent best-written stories, only for different fandoms?Ĥ486300 Let me put it this way: I wound up in this fandom largely because this is the best damn fanfic site I've ever encountered. So it's not like there's a "feature box" or anything. "currently hot stories" isn't an option, and "highest ranked" isn't really an option either, just some nonsense where I can sort by "number of favs", "number of follows", "number of comments" all independantly, which is pretty useless and doesn't yield any well-written results on the first two pages.ĭon't get me wrong, I know these sites have some great content hidden in there, I've read some amazing stuff there, but I always found it through outside sources, never the site itself. Oh, sure, stories are cathegorized by fandoms, and that's nice and all, but if I want to find the "highest ranked" or "currently hot" stories, well. I am aware of "" and "", but both these are. I actually only got interested in reading fanfiction through pony, so fimfiction was my first fanfiction-site.Ī while ago, I figured I should try branching out, delve into the fanon-lore of other fandoms.

This may be slightly off-topic, but I figure I may as well ask someone who's been "outside" the fandom in terms of fanfiction. Some folks have complained about the wiki format but if you have trouble posting a story on there just ask me or another of the sites admins for help and you should get a quick response.
#Transformation story archive archive
Theres also Shifti, a wiki based archive of transformation stories that anyone can post too. While its definetly seen better days it still hosts an absurd amount of transformation fiction writing from the nineties and early 2000's and the mailing list still has a few hundred members on it, not only that but recently some of the big server issues were resolved and theres plans to actively revive the original website and to get new content on it again. Long long before there was a fimfiction there was a site on the net called the Transformation story archive and an associated mailing list called TSA talk where transformation stories were written and shared at a breakneck pace until the main site had some admin issues. If you like FiO stories theres a chance you are interested in the general concept of humans becoming other kinds of critters so this news might be of interest to you.
